the factory must grow indeed but right now you better run
this short film was created as part of my training in the 3d designer formation at emc malakoff.
in the creation process i used blender 4.0 golaem in maya gaea plasticity embergen after effects substance painter photoshop and premiere.
the biters crowd simulation was done in maya using the wonderful golaem crow simulation addon.
explosions and cannon blasts were simulated and rendered using embergen.
i made heavy use of geometry nodes in this project as an advanced scattering tool in procedural animations and in advanced procedural materials generation.
many of the ground materials came from the following websites
environmental models from megascans
im not affiliated to wube in any way and this video was created as an exercise in the context of my studies.
the nonenvironmental models are based on factorio but were entirely recreated by myself
a majority of the sound effects used in this video directly come from factorio game files
