this is the ultimate incarnation of the thirdgeneration ford gt and a homage to the mk iv iteration of the original gt40 which won le mans in 1967.
fittingly this new mk iv is a trackonly pseudorace car of which just 67 will be built at a price of 1.7m each.
it shares its carbonfibre chassis with the gt road car and 2016 le manswinning lmgte pro race car but the brakes are new the longtail body is new and the ecoboost v6 has been enlarged to 3.8 litres. together with new turbos and a host of other engine changes peak power rises to a plentiful 800bhp.
